DO NOT SEX MY WIFE! Brick flinging Romeo runs wild

A MAN from Nguboyenja suburb in Bulawayo lost his marbles and rained bricks on his neighbour, accusing him of being involved in a sexual affair with his wife.

Brandon Ndlovu turned his love rage into flying masonry and now finds himself before Bulawayo regional magistrate Mr Mark Dzira facing an attempted murder charge.

The jealous husband was not asked to plead and only spoke to confirm his name and surname as well as the allegations levelled against him, proving that when love goes wrong, silence is sometimes safer.

The magistrate advised him that it was his legal right to seek the services of a lawyer or to represent himself. Brandon was remanded in custody until 14 January 2026 to cool off and rethink his brick-throwing romance strategy.

State prosecutor Mufaro Ndirayire told the court: “On 9 November 2025 at around 16:30 hours, Kelly Ndlovu was at his family house in Bulawayo’s Thorngrove suburb. The accused person approached him, accusing him of having a love affair with his wife. The accused became violent, went out of the yard and picked up two half bricks. He threw the bricks, targeting the complainant’s head. He hit him several times, leaving him bleeding.”

The jealous lover fled the scene and went into hiding while the complainant was rushed to Mpilo Central Hospital with a deep cut to the head. A medical report is expected to be produced in court as evidence.

In an unrelated love and rage episode, another man named Khuzani Ndlovu from Nyamandlovu in Matabeleland North Province decided to take his anger out on his mother-in-law’s hut.

Khuzani appeared before the same magistrate for routine remand after allegedly hurling insults at his mother-in-law, locking her inside her hut with wire and setting the room on fire.

Prosecutor Ms Siphiwe Mhlanga told the court that the elderly woman screamed for help as flames licked the hut. Neighbours rushed in, broke down the door just in time and saved her.

Villagers chased after Khuzani, caught him and handed him over to the police, ending his fiery protest against in-laws.

He was also remanded in custody until 14 January.
