DOES Killer T lose his mental faculties in October and, whatever he suffers from during this month, does it turn him into a FOUL-MOUTHED, FOOLISH AND DERANGED individual?
The Zimdancehall star has been arrested on allegations of cyberbullying after a foul-mothed tirade in which he was abusing a member of the family, whose relative was mauled to death by a pack of dogs.
Killer T allegedly abused Ambassador Kwame Muzawazi, the CEO of the Institute of African Knowledge, whose younger brother, Malcolm Muzawazi, died from injuries sustained from an attack by a pack of dogs last week.
The artist was defending the owner of the dogs, Gilbert Rumbwere, who runs Scorpion Car Sales, who was arrested and charged with culpable homicide at the Mbare Magistrates’ Court in the wake of the tragedy.
His four Belgian Malinois dogs allegedly escaped from his premises and attacked Malcom Muzawazi, a Warren Park resident, leading to his death.
Rumbwere (44) appeared before regional magistrate, Noel Mupeiwa, facing the culpable homicide charge and was remanded in custody.
Rumbwere was represented by his lawyer, Wellington Tiki Mutsvadziwa.
Prosecutor Allen Chifokoyo claims that on September 24, at around 8 pm, Rumbwere failed to properly secure the premises at the corner of Willowvale Road and Harare Drive, resulting in four dogs escaping from the property.
The State alleges that Malcolm Muzavazi sustained serious injuries during the attack.
He was left lying on the ground until 4am – almost ten hours after the attack.
The family was then notified of the attack and called an ambulance.
The emergency medical technicians who responded advised that Muzawazi had died and advised that the police forensic unit was supposed to attend the scene.
The body of the victim was subsequently ferried to a local mortuary.
Killer T, instead of sympathising with the family of the man who died in such tragic accidents, has been threatening it using X-rated language.
Some of the X-rated words he used cannot be repeated even in a tabloid newspaper like this one.
“Muface haana kusakidzira imbwa, aiprotector tupfuma twake tushoma twaainato…pamuchabatwawo nemhosva tichakuurayayi, kum**** kweyu.”
Now, Killer T has been arrested on allegations of cyberbullying.
National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the arrest promising to release further details in due course.
“Police arrested a local musician for sending voice notes message using obscene language and threatening him.
“More details will be released in due course,” said Comm Nyathi.
In October, 2022, Killer T was arrested and fined for obstructing other motorists, and driving an unregistered car, in Aspindale Park, where he stays
The incident happened just before 7am.
His wayward behaviour, in which he blocked entrance and exit from a complex where he lives in Aspindale Park, affected a number of workers and school children.
Killer T was taken to Marimba Police Station, where he was fined.
It took more than six hours for the singer to return home, after paying the fine, and buying the vehicle registration plates.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed that arrest and urged residents to respect each other.
“Police arrested Kelvin Kusikwenyu, popularly known as Killer T, for obstructing vehicles at Aspindale Park boom gate,” said Insp Chakanza.
“He was fined for that offence as well as driving a vehicle without registration plates.”
Both his Mercedes and van, the two cars he used to block both points in and out of the complex, did not have registration plates.
“He has been driving that Benz for about two years now and, as long as we remember, it never had registration plates,” said a resident.
“Maybe, he thinks he is above the law and that is why he gave us a really tough time today.
“He boasted that he had more money than all the residents and took US$4,000 from his pocket, challenging anyone, who had similar cash, to display it.”
Killer T hadn’t been paying for an access tag, which costs US$40.
Apparently, according to residents, Killer T usually left the complex at about 6pm, every day, and returned home in the morning.
“He usually leaves at about 6 to 7 in the evening and comes back in the morning,” said the resident.
“He comes back home at about 5am every morning, spends most of the day sleeping and leaves at around 6 and 7pm.”
Sources said he usually spent his night at a house along Chihota Street in Mbare.
Residents told H-Metro that the musician had a tendency of disturbing peace at the compound.
A security guard said the dancehall chanter had developed a habit of speeding around the complex.
“This is not the first time Killer T has caused commotion. He did the same thing a few months ago.
“When we used to manually close the boom gate, he would open for himself,” said a security guard.
He refused to use the gate, which does not require access cards, saying “mota yangu inosviba, handipinde nekumarara”.
