THE opening match of the Domestic T20 tournament between Eagles and Tuskers at Harare Sports

Club has been called off due to persistent rainfall.

The two teams will share a point each.

Eagles had won the toss and put Tuskers in to bat first under a heavy cloud. The fears of rain were confirmed late in the innings when the match was disrupted after 19.3 overs with Tuskers on 157/5.

A long stoppage ensued and only two balls were bowled at resumption before the officials decided to abandon the match.

Defending champions Rhinos are expected to square off with Mountaineers in the second match of the tournament at the same venue this afternoon.
