A revered pastor in his own right, Donnie is expected to feature at the Harare International Conference Centre on April 1 for a worship service dubbed Call to Worship starting at 5:30pm.
The Call to Worship will be preceded by a must attend gospel concert titled “Worship with Donnie McClurkin” at the Glamis Stadium at the Exhibition Park (formerly Harare Showgrounds) on April 2, 2011.
The two concerts, which are organised jointly by Ebenezer World Outreach Ministries and Divine Concertsound will ensure that Zimbabwean worshippers experience a weekend filled with Christ exhalting worship.
“The Call to Worship event which is promoted by EWOM is open to all and Donnie will make a guest appearance where Zimbabwean will be showcasing local talent.
“However, Donnie is likely to introduce himself to the local worshippers,” Pastor Phillip Pike of EWOM said.
On the other hand, the Saturday concert that feature Donnie is being promoted by Divine Concertsound led by David and Sharon Mwale.
Divine Concertsound (Pvt) Limited is a registered company whose main objectives are to hire out, sale, distribute and market all types of sound, visual and lighting equipment and to organise concerts.
Officially registered in December 2010 as Divine Concertsound, the business has been in operation since 2005 and has grown to become the leading provider of state of the art sound equipment and accessories.

About the concert Mwale said: “We as a promoter have seen the need for worship for the nation of Zimbabwe as a means to bring people together and lift up a unified voice to God.
“We are proud to bring Donnie to Zimbabwe.”
Donnie McClurkin is an American gospel music singer and minister.
He has won three Grammy awards, 10 Stellar awards, two BET awards, two Soul Train awards, one Dove award and one NAACP Image award for his work.
A friendship with a Warner Alliance executive resulted in his signing to the label for his 1996 self-titled LP, with producers Mark Kibble of Take 6, Cedric and Victor Caldwell plus Andraé Crouch.
The disc, which featured the perennially popular “Stand” went gold shortly after being publicly lauded by Oprah Winfrey.
At the 48th annual Grammy Awards, he won in the category Traditional Soul Gospel Album, for “Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs” McClurkin is best known for his hit songs “Stand” and “We Fall Down” which are played in heavy rotation on both Gospel and Urban radio.
His three solo albums have topped the Bill-board charts.
