Fresh from receiving an elusive outstanding female musician award at NAMA last month, gospel diva Dorcas Moyo is committed to celebrating her success by spreading live performances to all corners of the country.

This weekend she partners with rooftop choreographer Mathius Mhere and resilient dude, David Mabvuramiti on stage for a touted mega family gospel gig at Rimuka Stadium today.

Mhere has also bagged an award of recognition bestowed by Megafest Awards in the recent past.

Other unheralded local gospel artists have been roped in to add variety and exposure to the city headline instalment.

The show is set to lighten up the city.

Previously dominated by lower rung artists, the gospel music fraternity in the city has of late attracted bigger names trooping to perform in the gold mining settlement.

Late last year, Moyo partnered with Joyous Celebration offshoot, Ellard Cherai, for a memorable dish at Jameson High.

It is the latest instalment in the gospel music menu for the city that has already raised the bar for a promising show.

Asked on the level of their readiness for the blockbuster show, the organisers responded, “We’re making the necessary preparations for a successful family outing,” Elder Kaingidza said via a voice note.
