HARDROCK have strengthened their squad with the signing of two Eswatini players, signalling the continued revival of their recruitment pipeline from the neighbouring country.

Thubelihle Mavuso and Yeki Khumalo have officially joined the Kwekwe-based side and were unveiled by the club this week, with both players expressing delight at the move.

The pair were introduced on Hardrock’s social media platforms, proudly wearing the club’s green and white colours as they marked the start of a new chapter in their careers. Their arrival adds to the growing Eswatini presence at the club.

They join fellow countrymen Neliswa Dlamini and Sambulo Simelane, who were signed during the January transfer window, creating a strong SiSwati core within the squad.

Khumalo, a commanding figure in midfield, arrives with a solid reputation built during his time at Insingizini Hotspurs.

Known for his work rate and discipline, he has established himself as a dependable box-to-box midfielder.

At Hotspurs, Khumalo earned respect for his ability to win the ball, break up opposition play and drive his team forward.

His consistency made him one of the most reliable performers in the Eswatini Premier League, often lifting the players around him.

Mavuso, on the other hand, brings attacking flair and creativity. Also coming from Insingizini Hotspurs, he is comfortable playing as an attacking midfielder or on the wing.

He is known for his pace, quick footwork and willingness to take on defenders.

With an eye for goal and the ability to unlock tight defences, Mavuso could provide the cutting edge Hardrock have been missing in the final third.

Both players shared their excitement after completing the move.

“I am excited to be joining Hardrock,” said Mavuso.

“I’m happy to be at Hardrock,” an excited Khumalo also revealed.

The duo will now link up with Dlamini and Simelane, forming a small Eswatini contingent within the Hardrock dressing room.

With their compatriots already settled at the club, the transition is expected to be smooth.

Their shared background, language and experience at Insingizini Hotspurs could help them adapt quickly and make an immediate impact.

Khumalo is expected to bring stability and strength to the midfield, offering the discipline and toughness needed in a competitive campaign.

Mavuso, meanwhile, adds creativity and unpredictability — the kind of player who can change a match in a single moment.

Hardrock are aiming to improve their fortunes, with survival and silverware both on their radar.

The signing of two proven players from Insingizini Hotspurs adds depth, quality and renewed energy to the squad. From Insingizini to Kwekwe, Khumalo and Mavuso now have the chance to write a new chapter in green and white.

The two signings are also expected to increase competition for places in the starting line-up, with players such as Junior Makunike, Donald Mudadi, Munashe Bamara and Tinashe Mashaireni set to battle for positions.

With fresh talent and growing squad depth, Hardrock look better equipped for the challenges ahead.
