UGANDAN comedy sensation Dr Hillary Okello delivered a memorable performance at the sold-out edition of the Unbothered Comedy Show held in Harare on Sunday night, earning praise from audiences and fellow comedians alike.
The show attracted about 600 comedy lovers who packed the venue to witness one of Africa’s most celebrated stand-up comedians in action. Renowned for his sharp wit, relatable storytelling and effortless stage presence, Okello lived up to expectations with a performance that kept the audience laughing throughout the evening.

The event was hosted by comedian Dillan Chiota and featured a strong supporting cast of acts, including Chipenzi, CKanyiso, Lebohang and Mbongeni Ignatious, who warmed up the crowd before Okello took centre stage.
By the end of the night, social media was awash with praise for the Ugandan funnyman, with many attendees describing the show as one of the standout comedy events of the year.
Among those impressed by Okello’s performance was award-winning comedian Nigel “Tha Slick Pastor” Maritinyu, who took to social media to applaud his fellow comedian.
“Man, Dr Hillary Okello is the man he thinks he is. He is truly a marvel to watch. Last night I laughed until my ribs and chest were hurting when he gave a superb performance at the Unbothered Comedy Show hosted by Dillan Chiota.
“The humour was so relatable in a way that you would think he grew up with you in your neighbourhood. What a blessing he is to the comedy industry and global entertainment space. Africa is loaded with talent and this man embodies it. May your star continue to shine brother,” wrote Maritinyu in a Facebook post.
The show also drew several notable figures from Zimbabwe’s comedy fraternity, including comedians Tinaye and Frank Chirisa, who joined hundreds of fans in welcoming the Ugandan star to Harare.
