Popular sporting academy, “Dragon Force FC Porto’ is continuing with its soccer lessons at the new grounds, Higher Achievers grounds in Borrowdale.

The agency is a certified agency subscribed at the FC Porto in Portugal which is a bonus for locals who have been verifying and querying about the agency.

The academy lessons are conducted every Saturday and Sunday afternoon accommodating players from 3-20 years who will then have an opportunity to participate on an international level — a chance to travel to Portugal among other countries.

In an interview with The Herald on Saturday Lifestyle, Youth Interactive section, some participants and parents have hailed the agency for being useful during the holidays.

“I am coming from Mufakose to learn basic skills of football.

“I am happy that have joined that academy and my parents are excited too,” said 10-year-old Martin Makonese.

He also invited some of his friends from school to join the club.

“We do our training every weekend and I like the physical education which we are receiving from our coaches.”

A parent from Haig Park identified as Mr Michela Sande said the agency came at a good time as children will be occupied this holiday.

“You know it is difficult for us parents to find something to occupy our children during this holidays. If they are not doing extra lessons then obvious sporting activities are a must.

“I registered my two boys with the academy and they have greatly improved mentally and physically,” he said.

Academy hosts have said that due to high demand from aspiring players they have managed to group them to avoid long queues each time the trainings start.

They confirmed that they are also training children from Scotland and the United Kingdom who are in the country for vacation.
