GQOM music lovers are in for a treat as one of the exponents of the genre that originated in Durban, Distruction Boyz, will be in Bulawayo next month.

The duo of Que and Goldmax (real names Thobane Mgobozi and Zipho Mthembu) is famed for producing Babes Wodumo’s hit-track Wololo. They are billed to perform at Club Connect on September 16 where they will be supported by the club’s resident DJs Kead Wikead, Crazy Black and TBass.

Club Connect spokesperson Zandile Moyo said the Durban-based duo was highly recommended to them and will be replacing DJ Tira who was billed to perform in the city on the same day but could not fulfil his booking.

“Distruction Boyz are coming, highly recommended by DJ Tira who could not fulfil his September 16 booking. He has postponed his show to October and offered us a performance by Distruction Boyz and we agreed,” said Moyo.

“Even Heavy K who was in Bulawayo over the weekend agreed with Tira and told us they are the hottest group in South Africa.”

She said they are now hard at work working on the show’s logistics and are looking forward to hosting the duo.

Entrance has been pegged at $5 before 8PM and VIP at $100.
