Dynamos ease past Bulawayo Chiefs

Bulawayo 0 – 2 Dynamos
DYNAMOS got a well deserved win as they easily beat Bulawayo Chiefs 2-0 in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played on Thursday afternoon.
At 79 minutes Dynamos struck home a gem of a goal off Jairos Kasondo’s boots. The goal was initially adjudged as an offside. After some deliberations, the centre man Nelson Meki overturned the decision and gave DeMbare the goal.

The second goal was scored by Frank Agyemang at the stroke of full time and that was the end of it. Dynamos grabbed maximum points on the road.

The visitors dominated play through out the day, showing intent for victory right from the start. The home side was lucky not to be scored more, for they pretty much struggled to find form, especially in the first half. They continually defended in sixes and sevens.

Dynamos’ Christopher Netty posed threats on the right flank, making moves that shook the Chiefs rear guard. DeMbare could have opened the scores sheet at the eleventh minute as they took a corner kick that went well inside the box, but captain Shadreck Nyahwa found himself defending the ball away from goal.

Five minutes into the game, as play heat up, Moses Demera was given a yellow card after a nasty clash with Chiefs goalkeeper Matripples Muleya.

Muleya was eventually substituted. Sydney Mozeka at nine minutes, was in.
Another chance came in at 20 minutes as Perfect Chikwende cut through a couple of Bulawayo Chiefs players, finding space within the goal area. His low shot was however punched aside by Mozeka for a corner kick.

Dynamos needed a goal at that moment as they got another corner kick a minute later. A timely slide by Mozeka saved the Chiefs for a while. They were off the danger zone.

The hosts only managed to wake up on attack in the 15th minutes. Their most meaningful raid came in the 24th minute as Brian Muza made a run with the ball, finding Zibusiso Dambo, but the finishing effort was a waste.

At 35 minutes, a cross from Netty met a ready Leeroy Mavunga who blasted the ball on target, but Mozeka was up for it. He made a brilliant save.

Mozeka was to cover up for Chiefs again at 40 minutes when he stretched out to block Nyahwa’s powerful effort from outside the box. Mozeka summoned his reflexes to scoop the ball. That ball however, seemed to many aming the Dynamos family had crossed the line.

In the second stanza it was again a Dynamos affair. The boys in blue were intent, proving their hunger for goal. They were outdone by lack of a perfect finishing. Otherwise they played well. At the stroke of 62 minutes, the teams pulled in good displays from either halves. Nyahwa lobbed the ball up to struck the cross bar and moments later Muza ran for it towards goal, only to be halted by Fina who had been standing in wait.

Bulawayo Chiefs were on the backfoot and that is when Dynamos made a party of the Chiefs. Amakhosi Amahle were punished and made to return home a disappointed lot.
