Dynamos midfielder Nyasha Chintuli is optimistic of collecting maximum points today when they face Manica Diamonds in a re-arranged Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match today at Gibbo stadium.
Both sides have mathematical chances of snatching the title from under Ngezi Platinum’s noses and Dynamos go into the match in second place, eight points behind while Manica Diamonds are fifth, 10 points behind.
Chintuli believes they still have everything to play for and are ready to perform to expectations as a team.
He had a difficult start at the Glamour Boys but seems to have adjusted after he scored the only goal against CAPS United in the league match.
Dynamos are going to this match at the back of three straight wins in all competitions and they will be looking to carry on with the momentum.
“In order for the team to win, goals have to be scored. It is our responsibility as forwards to make sure that it happens.
“However, if you look at different transitions of the game you will find out that anyone can score during different transitions of the game so the priority is to play as a team and try to get goals as a team as we always try to defend as a team as well. The whole idea is about applying ourselves collectively.
“The important thing is to remain focused and not to keep on getting disappointing results. The promises we made to ourselves at the start of the season. I still believe that we have the chance and there are still a number of matches left to be played which can see many upsets and I have confidence in our team.
“We have an exciting team that has depth in all departments which makes us hopeful till the end. We can still achieve a lot this season and we are just focusing on every game as it comes,” he said.
