DYNAMOS are considering shifting their base to Bulawayo for the next two weeks.
The Glamour Boys have been forced to adopt Barbourfields as their home ground due to the non-availability of a Premiership-standard stadium in Harare.
They play Black Rhinos in their match day 13 encounter at Bata Stadium on Sunday after which they will face FC Platinum and Chicken Inn at Barbourfields.
And the giants are currently weighing the pros and cons of staying in Bulawayo for the two games.
Of course, Dynamos have maintained that should coach Herbert “Jompano” Maruwa fail to pick the maximum points against Black Rhinos at Bata on Sunday, he will be ushered out of his post.
Before the three weeks break in Premiership action, Maruwa had been given a two-match ultimatum.
He had been asked to pick six points in the games against ZPC Kariba and Black Rhinos.
DeMbare beat ZPC Kariba 3-0 in the week preceding the abrupt break.
They were supposed to face the army team seven days after their victory against ZPC Kariba.
But the club have maintained that their position has not changed and Maruwa should win on Sunday or the axe will drop on his head. Dynamos will return to the capital after their match on Sunday and they could shift base to Bulawayo where they would stay for two weeks.
“As a team, we are aware of the situation that we are in. Firstly, we chose Barbourfields to be our adopted home for a reason.
“We know for sure that we enjoy massive support in Bulawayo just like we do throughout the country,” said Dynamos executive chairman Moses Maunganidze.
“We are playing Black Rhinos in Gweru on Sunday and thereafter, we face FC Platinum at Barbourfields. We will be at home in this fixture. Days later, we will be at the same venue against Chicken Inn but we will be the away team.
“Considering the sheer quality of both teams, given they are the two teams who finished first and second last season, we need to be very strategic.
“Firstly, we should consider our players. They run the risk of overworking and fatigue will also be a key factor given the travelling involved.
“As a team, we are currently calculating the costs involved. We will see whether travelling will be worth it or we should just stay put in Bulawayo for the two matches against FC Platinum and Chicken Inn.
“We have to do what is best for the club. But we could end up erecting a tent in Bulawayo at least for those two crunch fixtures.
“We have to work within what we can. But players are of utmost importance and we have to do what’s best for them. Chances are we might end up spending those two weeks in Bulawayo”.
Maunganidze said they will as well break with tradition and travel to Bulawayo days before their home games so they would have more time to train at Barbourfields.
They are not alone in this predicament.
All Harare-based teams plus Simba Bhora who hail from Shamva have been left in an awkward position due to lack of stadiums in the capital.
CAPS United, Cranborne Bullets, Herentals, Simba Bhora and Yadah will have to play their home games away from Harare.
All the seven teams, as well as ZPC Kariba, have been hosting their guests at the National Sports Stadium for the first 12 match days.
But the giant facility is currently being renovated prompting PSL to force their teams to look elsewhere.
Black Rhinos have settled for Bata Stadium and they are scheduled to travel to Gweru for their match against Dynamos today.
They will spend three days in the Midlands capital, familiarising with their new home surroundings.
On the other hand, Herentals will be using Mandava in Zvishavane and they are also expected to travel days before they host Simba Bhora on Sunday.
