DYNAMOS have one more game against FC Platinum to make sure they avoid relegation, and that has overshadowed the risk of losing players which also looms large.
One such player is Vusa Ngwenya, whose contract is coming to an end.
The future of the club’s brightest talent hangs in balance, unless DeMbare move in after the last game to negotiate new contracts with players in their plans.
Ngwenya’s fairytale ascent was born from a crisis, a mass exodus of senior players last year that paved the way.
After two seasons warming the bench, the 21-year-old grabbed his chance with both hands and has since announced himself in the Castle Lager Premiership.
“I am not yet focused on where I will be playing next year, but to make sure the club survives,” said Ngwenya.
Dynamos must at least get a point against FC Platinum if they are entertaining playing Premiership football next year.
“It’s difficult for me to speak considering the situation on the ground,” said Ngwenya.
“The club have not yet negotiated anything with me, while several teams have inquired about me for next season. So it’s something I am not at liberty to speak about. I have to wait and see what the club will do.”
The reverse fixture against FC Platinum was abandoned as Dynamos appealed a referee decision, re-sulting in Norman Mapeza’s side getting three points on a 3-0 scoreline.
“At the moment the whole focus is on winning against FC Platinum,” he said.
“I scored my first Premier League goal against them only to have it nullified. I still feel the pain, and I hope if fate allows, I score another one in front of our fans.
“If the game ends well for us, that can be justice to my nullified goal.”
