Millions of people around the world play the popular sports video game series, from kids who use it to inform their knowledge of football to adults who use it to unwind after a busy day.
The evergreen debate of who the best player in the world is can often be reflected in the game too.
And the 2027/28 edition of the game will reignite that debate once again.
The powers that be at EA have released their list of the top 27 men’s players.
Topping the list is star World Cup duo Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, with the Real Madrid and Manchester City pair both sitting on ratings of 91 overall.
A second Man City star in Rodri – or rather soon to be Barcelona star Rodri – is one of nine players with a rating of 90.
England captain Harry Kane is one of those, as well as Bayern Munich team-mate Michael Olise who has climbed by four to reach the top 11 players in the world.
Fellow England superstar Jude Bellingham is another 90-rated player alongside Lamine Yamal, Ousmane Dembele, Thibaut Courtois, Pedri and Vitinha.
Moving on to 89 rated players, Arsenal boast the game’s best defender in Brazilian Gabriel Magalhaes.
Joining the 89-rated list from England is Manchester United‘s Premier League Player of the Year Bruno Fernandes, as well as goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Paris Saint-Germain trio Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes and Willian Pacho are also on the 89-rated list alongside Inter Miami and Argentine icon Lionel Messi and Brazil winger Vinícius Júnior.
The remainder of the top 27 players list is made up of 88-rated players.
Prem stars Declan Rice, William Saliba and Virgil van Dijk are among the names with that rating.
Alongside them is Jan Oblak, as well as PSG and Bayern pairs, Achraf Hakimi and Joao Neves and Joshua Kimmich and Luis Diaz, respectively. – Sun
