EAGLE Life Assembly team manager Blessing Mugutu has said his team is desperate to win this Sunday’s Christian League encounter against Mpopoma Nazarene after losing 1-2 to House of Prayer last week.
“We’re conducting some intense training for the weekend game against Nazarene. Losing that game is not an option and we will give them a run for their money. After the set back in our last game against House of Prayer, we can’t afford to give away any points this week. We made a lot of mistakes in defence which made us concede simple goals and we never recovered,” said Mugutu.
“We’re working on getting our new players to gel with rest of the regulars because if there is no fluidity, there is no way we can win.”
He said Nazarene was quick on the counter and played a fast paced game that they would have to neutralise.
“Nazarene plays with pace and they’re quick on the counter so we have to be on the lookout for their strikers. Our plan is to apply pressure on their defence and retain possession more.”
