some food worth more than US$500 000.

Mbada Diamond donated food at Mukwada Primary School and Chiadzwa Clinic, as part of the firm’s social responsibility programme.
Company spokesperson Mr Ignatius Mazura said 42 villages under two headmen benefited from the donation.

“We are giving the food to 7 000 kitchens. This means if one is in a polygamous marriage, we will give each kitchen these food hampers,” said Mr Mazura.

Each household got 50kg mealie meal, salt, beans, cooking oil and matemba.
Mbada is also in consultation with the Government to find a suitable variety of sorghum seed that they can give villagers.
