This Easter long weekend, a plethora of electrifying events are set to thrill crowds, offering something for everyone.

While churches will be aglow with candles, partygoers will be indulging in a variety of entertainment options in Harare and beyond.

Music and dance will take centre stage as levellers unwind, and artists and promoters are poised to reap the rewards of the packed schedule.

For those who love the outdoors, this holiday is the perfect opportunity to let loose, follow the beat, and enjoy a vibrant mix of music, dance, and comedy.

The question is what’s on the menu?

In Zimbabwe, the celebrations start on Good Friday and run through to Easter Monday.

The four-day holiday gives believers and non-believers a time to meet up with friends and family in celebration of the forgiveness and restoration which people receive through Christ.

Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment Hub caught up with some artistes and promoters who shared their views on Easter.

On the gospel end, obviously the church communities are hosting Easter celebrations up to Monday with various gospel musicians lined to perform either on their own shows or at church.

At Habhana the celebrations kick off tomorrow with Independence and Easter celebrations with performances by Killer T.

He shares the spotlight with DJ King Her, Langton B and DJ Iroq.

Easter Sunday they close with Tropical Sound hosted by Eatherton B, Garry B and Satisfaction.

In an interview with Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment Hub, through his manager Mpondasugar, Master H said they wanted to celebrate this holiday with fans in South Africa.

“Easter is going on as planned. The only difference is that we are going to be doing our show in South Africa and we have prepared so much for our fans who are in South Africa.

“As a way of celebrating, we are going to be having live shows and celebrate with our fans in a bid to honour the three special days which mark the resurrection of Jesus after crucifixion,” he said.

For singer and presenter Alexio “Goodchild” Gwenzi he will be in Nembudziya Gokwe to celebrate Independence and Easter.

The sing will be performing from tomorrow to Sunday and he said the idea of having three days of shows is incredibly exciting for him.

He is set for to perform at Solomons Lifestyle Cafe and Hotel in Gokwe Nembudziya tomorrow and on Saturday he will be at an Easter Family Fun Day with a couple of DJs.

Goodchild will finish off the fun
“We’re kicking things off with a huge Independence Celebration on Friday, April 18th, at the brand-new Solomons Lifestyle Cafe and Hotel in Gokwe Nembudziya. Then, on Saturday the 19th, it’s an Easter Family Fun Day where I’ll be sharing the stage with some great DJs.
