Easter is more than just chocolate

THE Easter break could not have come at a better time.

Honestly, between the mountain of homework and stress of domestic chores, I was about two seconds away from a total meltdown.

Celebrating Easter is not just about the massive chocolate haul; the holiday has much more significance to every Christian.

It is about that rare moment when the world actually slows down.

For my family, it is the one time we are not all staring at our phones or going about our usual routine. We had this big brunch on Sunday and even my little brother was decent.

Beyond the food, there is this feeling of a “fresh start”.

Before resurrection day (Easter Sunday), we attended a church service, where they talked about hope and renewal, and sitting there with my friends, it actually clicked.

Before we go into the second term, I felt this was a chance to breathe, reset and remember what actually matters, like study, faith and family.

Celebrating the holiday gave me my spark back.

It turns out, we all need a little resurrection sometimes to get through the various challenges in life.
