EcoCash Customers win big as curtain comes down on popular ‘Chakachaya paEcoCash’ promotion

EcoCash, the country’s leading mobile money platform, brought the curtain down on its highly popular ‘Chakachaya paEcoCash/ Ziyawa kuEcoCash USD Promotion’ at the weekend, with a final draw held at Harare Gardens in the capital that saw lucky winners walk away with amazing prizes, including solar kits, gas stoves, cows, cash prizes, television sets and many more.

The popular promotion, which ran from May 23, 2023 to June 13, 2023, saw the mobile money platform reward over 150 000 customers for transacting using the EcoCash USD wallet. By simply transacting, customers became eligible to win various prizes in EcoCash’s weekly draws held across the country.

At the weekend, customers who participated in the promotion expressed their delight at winning prizes.

“Participating in the Chakachaya paEcoCash Promotion was a no brainer for me as a regular user of the EcoCash USD wallet,” said EcoCash customer Luke Chaira, who won a solar kit.

“I am gratiful to EcoCash for the Chaka Chaya promotion which provided me with this opportunity.”

The solar kit is ideal for residential homes and can power fridges, two television sets, two standing fans, ceiling fans, LED light bulbs, laptops and phones, among other appliances.

One of the excited winners at the final draw, Chancewin Mhaka, couldn’t believe his luck.

“I can’t believe my luck! Being part of the Chakachaya paEcoCash promotion has been an incredible journey. Winning a cow made my day. EcoCash has truly exceeded my expectations with this promotion,” he said.

Shamiso Rugowo, another winner, said winning a cow in the final draw was unbelievable.

“It was unbelievable. I am incredibly grateful to the EcoCash Chakachaya promotion for this amazing gift.”

The ‘Chakachaya paEcoCash/Ziyawa kuEcoCash USD Promotion’ final draw was held in the Harare Gardens following several weekly held across the country.

Adding to the festivities at the final draw were musicians Baba Harare and Tocky Vibes, who took to the stage and captivated the crowd with their great performances.
