Econet Wireless Zimbabwe has won the Best ICT Exhibitor and Best AI Adoption in Agriculture awards at the 2026 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, recognising its innovative use of digital technology and artificial intelligence across agriculture and other sectors.
The company’s exhibition brought together its telecommunications, fintech, insurance, agricultural technology and AI businesses in an integrated showcase. Featured brands included Econet AI, EcoCash, EcoSure, Moovah, EcoFarmerAI, Buddie, Buddie Beatz, Econet InfraCo, MARS and RemitHope.
A dedicated AI pod highlighted Econet’s expanding AI capabilities and partnership with Google Gemini, while EcoFarmerAIdemonstrated how farmers can use digital tools and information to make better decisions and improve productivity.
Held under the theme “Powering Growth: Where Agriculture, Technology and Commerce Converge,” the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show highlighted the increasing role of technology in improving agricultural productivity, financial inclusion and market access.
The awards come as Econet accelerates the adoption of AI across customer service, its network management, business operations, product development and the agricultural sector – a significant segment of the country’s economy.
