ED spells out new development model

Government will soon introduce a development model under which provincial authorities will draw up their own budgets and evaluate their economic output as part of a broader vision to accelerate national development, the President has said. The budgets and proposed development plans will be submitted to central Government for assessment before approval. Speaking during his maiden interactive meeting with captains of industry in Harare yesterday, President Mnangagwa said the model allowed competition among provinces.
