Edewor in new play

Model, show host and TV presenter Eku Edewor has been selected to feature in a new stage play next month. The young woman, who was recently announced as the host for 2014 Channel O Music Video Awards, is on course to make her debut in a stage play in December as the pretty, petite Eku plays the role of “Redd” in Redd Riding Hood, which has just been adapted for the stage and directed by Nigeria’s leading theatre director, Wole Oguntokun.

The stage play will premiere on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the MUSON Centre at Onikan, Lagos, and it would be an opportunity for Eku Edewor, who is a graduate of English and Theatre from the University of Warwick, to show the world her acting talent.

Edewor also trained as an actress at the New York Film Academy and is expected to bring something unusual to the stage along with Wole Oguntokun, who is also responsible for the stage adaptation of Cyprian Ekwensi’s “Jagua Nana”, which premiered in October 2014 as well as several others productions.— Naijaworld
