Edgars appoints group finance officer

Edgars Stores Limited group has appointed Mr Chesternoel Mutevhe as the Group Chief Finance Officer with effect from 1 January.

 Mr Mutevhe takes over from Ms Happiness Vundla who stepped down in October last year.

In a notice on Monday, the clothing firm said Mr Mutevhe, a qualified realtor and Chartered Accountant, brings with him a wealth of experience.

“He brings with him a wealth of experience in the FMCG sector having worked for CFI Holdings Limited as Group Finance Director for seven years.

“Prior to that, he held the positions of Group Company Secretary, Group Treasurer, and Group Financial Controller. In addition, he headed the property development outfit for the CFI Group.

“His most recent assignment was as head of finance in Zimbabwe for Karo Platinum. Chesternoel is a qualified realtor and Chartered Accountant, having trained with Deloitte.”
