GRAMMY award-winning American gospel singer, Travis Greene, will be in Harare for the third time on Friday with his show set for the Celebration Centre in Harare.
Travis is known for his powerful blend of contemporary worship and urban gospel music. He is known for songs such as ‘Made A Way’, ‘You Waited’, and ‘Intentional’.
He has a career spanning close to two decades. Greene’s performance in Harare will be backed by supporting acts from Forward City Music, Kaestrings, Grace Idowu, Annatoria, Tembalami and Unveiled.
During his first visit, Travis did not only grace the stage but also ventured beyond the concert venue as he toured some of Harare’s iconic places like Mbare.
He won over the hearts of the capital’s residents with his infectious warmth. Greene won the 2017 Billboard Music Award for Top Gospel Song.
He said playing in Zimbabwe felt like he was home far away from his real home.
He told this newspaper that he cannot believe it has been 10 years since the release of his hit song, ‘Made A Way.’
He revealed that it began as a song between him and his wife as they were praying and celebrating God for the miracle of their son, who is now about to turn 11.

He said there have been so many testimonies, so many stories about how people were touched by the song ‘Made A Way.’
Travis is on a world tour and has said it would not be complete if he didn’t have a show in Zimbabwe.
He says he considers Zimbabwe as his second home.
He said the Zimbabweans are like his second family.
The concert is part of a larger celebration of art and entertainment in Zimbabwe.
Travis has had previous successful concerts in Zimbabwe, highlighting his strong connection with the local audience.
His latest concert has been described as a “worship experience” with a focus on faith and music and he wants to inspire and uplift the spirits of those who will attend the shows.
Travis is the first of a number of international artists who are set to perform in this country in the next few months.
The Jamaican duo of Chris Martin and Busy Signal are also set to return to perform in this country.They are part of the high-powered Kadoma Music Festival.
The duo have a huge fanbase in this country.
Many international artists have found it irresistible to ignore the local market when it comes to showbiz.
These entertainers don’t just come for the money but they come because they enjoy the experience of performing in this country.
There was a time when the majority of the visiting stars were just South African artists.
But, this has now changed and we have seen many top artists coming down to perform here.
Joe Thomas, one of the biggest names when it comes to music, is also set to come down here and perform.
