Award-winning gospel musician Eleana Makombe has released a new single, Mazvita Henyu, a heartfelt testimony of God’s faithfulness after she and her husband survived a road accident last year.
The song, accompanied by a music video, was produced by Douglas Mazumbo, while Tamie Bimha handled the mixing and mastering.
The musicians featured on the track are Douglas Mazumbo (main keyboards), Dikgang Sethlako (auxiliary keyboards), Timothy Phillip (guitar), Caleb Mujere (drums), Blessed Zharira (bass), and Admire “Tedd Wengoma” Mwashita (percussion).
Backing vocalists on soprano are Ruth Maseko, Yeukai Marume and Hope Moyo, while the alto section features Constance Gweru, Robyn Mafadza and Patricia Goho. The tenor section comprises Warren Zienda, Munashe Mazarura, Danny Elsha, Brian Musonza and Joshua Juru.
Makombe said Mazvita Henyu is more than just a song; it is her heartfelt thanksgiving to God for giving her another chance to live, worship and proclaim His goodness.
She said the song is inspired by Psalm 136:1, which reads: “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”
“After the accident on 30 December 2025 under the bridge along Seke Road, I thought it was the end for me and my husband. But God had other plans. He preserved my life and surrounded me with His mercy and grace.
“Mazvita Henyu is my personal testimony—a heartfelt expression of gratitude to my Heavenly Father for His protection, faithfulness and the precious gift of life.
“Every breath I take is a reminder that His hand has never left me. He is still working, still sustaining, still performing miracles, and still deserving of all the glory,” said Makombe.
