Elephant Man jets into Zim

Glamis Stadium tonight.
Known as the “Energy god” by dancehall music lovers, Elephant Man promised fans one hell of a party.

“Good to go . . . I would like all fans to come and have a great time at the show, there is gonna be a lot of energy and vibe. It’s gonna be crazy,” he said with a lisp.
Elephant Man also urged youths to fear God, respect themselves and always use protection against HIV and Aids.

The “Pon De River” singer was accompanied by an up coming Jamaican artiste called Brama who will curtain raise for him.
But fans are in for a high-octane performance with many local dancehall acts.

Winky D, whose real name is Wallace Chirimuko, is expected to go-head-to-head with the Elephant Man whom he has referred to as a brother.
“Expect the unexpected and I believe barking dogs seldom bite for now I will keep quiet and attack,” Winky D said jokingly before he threw two verses of his soon-to-be released track – Messi Weraggae Part 2.

Previously, Winky D upstaged some of the international acts among them Sizzla Kalonji, Sean Kingston and TOK to mention just a few and tonight he faces one of the best in dancehall.
Besides Winky D, there is a host of other top names the likes of Sniper Storm whose latest album “Salute the General” is causing quite a stir on the local scene, Guspy Warrior, Ricky Fire and Jiggaz to spice up the line up.

Elephant Man is the second artiste to perform in Harare courtesy of show promoters C&A Entertainment who last year brought in Sean Kingston.

However, Kingston put up a pathetic performance that lacked both energy and spark.
It remains to be seen what the Elephant Man has up his sleeves at the dancehall showdown.
