THE Electronic Ministry Application Platform for 2027 Form One Government boarding school places remains closed, despite social media reports suggesting applications have already opened.
The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education issued the clarification following concerns from parents who experienced technical difficulties attempting to register their children after the conclusion of Grade Seven public examinations.
In a statement yesterday, the Ministry’s Director of Communications and Advocacy, Mr Taungana Ndoro, said the online portal was tentatively scheduled to open in the week beginning November 9, with the exact date to be confirmed via official channels.
“The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education wishes to inform the public that eMAP for 2027 Form One boarding enrolment applications is not yet open,” Mr Ndoro said.
“The actual date will be advised later.”
The digital system is designed to streamline the admissions process by allowing parents to submit learner details and select preferred schools remotely, eliminating the need to visit individual institutions physically.
Mr Ndoro warned the public against fraudulent online operations and misleading messages claiming to provide early access to the portal.
