Emerging musician Frea_K ready to make a name

Up-and-coming musician Frea_K feels it is the right time to make a name and start producing quality music for various genre enthusiasts after having being on the sidelines for a while now.

The artiste (real name Jeffrey Kuvarega) focuses on inspirational songs, gospel, and love-oriented through the Afro-pop, hip-hop, and dancehall genres.

Speaking to Chronicle Showbiz, Frea_K said his journey was inspired by the different phases of life he encountered as he was growing up.

“It all began when I was in secondary school in 2015. I began to appreciate that reality is accompanied by both pain and joy simultaneously. The only way I could express my emotions towards such transitions was through music so I started to compose music that reflects my past experiences.

“Although I started the journey of music in secondary school, I never got the opportunity to record any of my songs. It was only last year that I decided to start recording and releasing my songs. The first song I released is titled ‘Umwe Wangu’. After ‘Umwe Wangu’, I managed to release two more songs: ‘Dear Friend’ and ‘Misodzi Yangu’. I have other tracks that I have recorded which will be released soon,” said Frea_K. – @mthabisi_mthire
