EVERTON Mlalazi Music Records (EMMR) has congratulated Senator Dr Kudakwashe Regimond Tagwirei following his appointment as Minister of Economic Development and Investment Promotion by President Mnangagwa on October 8.
EMMR produces and records music for gospel musician Everton Mlalazi and his associated musical projects, including The Vine, Virtual Hymns and Celestial Chorus.

Through the Bridging Gap Foundation, Dr Tagwirei and his wife, Mrs Sandra Tagwirei, support and endorse the annual Celestial Chorus Soiree, a gospel initiative dedicated to spreading the word of God through music.
In a statement, EMMR described Dr Tagwirei as a man passionate about God and committed to leading people to Christ through his support for gospel music.
“EMMR, on behalf of Everton Mlalazi, The Vine, Virtual Hymns, Celestial Chorus Soiree and Tikiti Events, warmly congratulates Senator Dr K.R. Tagwirei on his appointment as Minister of Economic Development and Investment Promotion.
“Your love and support for music have given a voice to many and helped lead countless souls to Christ. As you step into this new season of service, may God grant you wisdom, favour and grace to impact our nation even further.
“May this new calling bring greater favour, greater increase and the fulfilment of every vision God has placed in your heart. Congratulations, Dr K.R. Tagwirei!” reads the statement.
Dr Tagwirei’s appointment followed the restructuring of the country’s economic administration by President Mnangagwa on October 8, which saw the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion split into two separate portfolios.
The changes were announced by Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Martin Rushwaya.
Dr Tagwirei was appointed to lead the newly established Ministry of Economic Development and Investment Promotion, which is tasked with driving economic growth and attracting investment, while Professor Mthuli Ncube retained the Finance portfolio, overseeing fiscal policy, national budgeting and resource mobilisation.
In a further administrative appointment, Dr Egepha Victoria Jokomo was appointed Permanent Secretary for Skills Audit and Development, with effect from November 1.
