England Under-19s Beat New Zealand by 65 Runs in Super Six Clash

THE England Under-19 men’s cricket team beat New Zealand by 65 runs in their Super Six match played at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Friday.

This means they are through to the semi-finals of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup with four wins out of four.

England pace bowler, Manny Lumsden, was the pick of the bowlers, taking 5/17 at an economy rate of 2.48 in 6.5 overs. Three of his wickets cleaned up the New Zealand tail, leading his country to victory.
Lumsden is now the leading wicket-taker in the tournament with 13.

His teammate Sebastian Morgan followed with two wickets in six overs, while Alex Green also took one wicket in six overs. Farhan Ahmed was economical, bowling seven overs, conceding 20 runs and taking one wicket.

New Zealand’s top scorer was Snehith Reddy (47), and although they started at a blistering pace, they lost too many wickets at different intervals, leading to their 65-run defeat with 67 balls to spare.
