“HE moved on from there and dug another well and they did not quarrel over it, so he named it Rehoboth, saying, ‘Now the Lord has given us room, and we will be fruitful in the land.’” — Genesis 26:22
In this month of November, we continue standing on the cusp of a new season — one of fruitfulness, abundance and divine expansion.
Our anchor scripture, Genesis 26:22, powerfully declares that God is the God of breakthroughs, the God of abundance and the God of provision.
Isaac, one of the major patriarchs of the Israelites, faced opposition and challenges as he dug wells, symbolising the pursuit of God’s blessings.
But notice the significant shift: It was not until he dug the well of Rehoboth that the Bible records, “they did not quarrel over it.”
This well represented a new level of God’s provision and undisputed blessing.
May God grant us wells with no quarrel — spaces where we can flourish without contention, where His abundance overflows and where we bear fruit that lasts.
As we declare this season of fruitfulness, we trust in the power of God to give us our own Rehoboth — spaces of blessing, prosperity and unending fruitfulness.
Remember, God’s provision knows no limits; He can give us wells in the wilderness (Isaiah 35:6).
His blessings are not just for personal gain but are also meant to be a benefit to others (Genesis 26:12-14).
Prayer declaration
We declare this period a season of fruitfulness, abundance and divine favour. May our lives be living testimonies of God’s goodness and faithfulness. May God grant us wells with no quarrel and may we flourish in the spaces He has prepared for us. Amen!
