Pick of the crop is the much awaited Tear Gas show billed for the Horizon Pub, Bar, Lounge and Restaurant on Saturday evening.
Tonight, Horizon will play host to a jazz band, Afro-Culture, expected to give patrons a vibe of jazz sensation. Tomorrow Djembe Monks are set to keep music followers captivated through their tribal house music.
Award winning South African trio Tear Gas will stage a show dubbed “A Night to Remember”.
Mduduzi Mdlongwa, the director of 3D Events Management, organisers of the show, said everything was in place for the show.
“Music fans should brace for this show because they are in for a treat,” he said.
AntiVirus dance group, Kasi Lunatics and Chetz, will share the stage with Tear Gas.
On Saturday, The Lounge, will play host to a number of dance groups who are set to lock horns in an event dubbed “So You Think You Can Dance, RELOADED”.
Girls La Musica, Dynamyte, Stunnaz, Exotic Rhumba Dancers, Afro Queens and Ziyawa are set to invade the night spot and are famous for their suggestive dances that have left many a men salivating.
On the same day at Bulawayo Theatre, an ensemble of imbube artistes, will perform in a collaboration called Gri…Eshe, courtesy of Sabela Music Projects.
The artistes include cultural ambassadors, Black Umfolosi, the a capella sensation, Family Voices, a new find in the imbube sector, Umdumo Wesizwe, world travelled Siyaya Arts and the celebrated solo artistes Simon Banda (Sunduza), Jeys Marabini and Willis Wataffi. The work is directed and produced by Saimon Mambazo Phiri. The show starts at 7pm.
Tomorrow, at Zimbabwe Music Academy, American based group, Jazz Tap Ensemble, is holding a cultural exchange workshop with local performing groups.
The event will be a collaboration of musicians and dancers who would want to know more American traditions of tap dancing and jazz music.
The show is being organised by the American Embassy.
The embassy’s assistant public affairs officer, Jillian Bonnardeaux, said the occasion was a cultural exchange event.
Kudu Bar will tomorrow roar to life in a party called Pink Party where the beautiful queens in the city are set to grace the occasion clad in pink outfits. Over 10 DJs will be on rotation alongside out door video mixing from DJ Slick Sean.
On Saturday it will be a Ladies Boom Party where entrance for ladies will be free with over 10 DJs taking turns to entertain patrons.
Jock and Saddle will tonight host Legendary Sound group from Harare. The legendary MCs based in Harare will be backed by Bad Mann Bee, Power and dancers alongside Power in a night dubbed Marasta Night.
On Saturday Bulawayo’s Top Model party will see 30 beautiful ladies take to the ramp supported by DJ Slamma, DJ Kanajo, The Ndebele RochStar, T Money and Djembe Monks.
BACs Mojo Bar will tomorrow keep guests entertained in an event called Feel Good Friday with Mellow T and Markus Andro.
On Saturday, Mojo Bar is set to host a Castle Lite Experience Party alongside Victoria Falls based Eazy T, local based Mellow T and Tony.
Walkers Pub and Restaurant will tonight host a Ladies Night Out with veteran DJ Joe Tha OG and Lacusto. Tomorrow Walkers is set to host old school session where resident DJs would be belting out music dating back to the early 90s.
Basement Night Club is set to host the OG Party. The party would be an appreciation of Joe Tha OG’s 15 years in the entertainment industry. Vetaran DJs are also set to take part.
