People are already in a celebratory mood ahead of the Easter holiday starting tomorrow. A number of entertainment events have been lined up for the weekend as people celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Below is a rundown of some of the activities people can look forward to.
City Hall Car Park
Children are set to have an Easter to remember as Nova Inflatables will be hosting an Easter Carnival that will have adrenaline-pumping and high-octane activities. Festivities will include jumping castles, trampoline, quadbikes, kids’ cars and inflatable swimming pools. There will also be dance competitions. Adults have not been left out as DJs Marcus Andro, Alamento The Dancer and Sydney The Clown will be on hand to make the experience a memorable one. The event will run from Friday up to Monday.
City Hall
On Saturday Harare-based gospel musician Everton Mlalazi will be in Bulawayo for the In the Presence Vol.2 God’s Grace — Worship with Everton Mlalazi concert. This will be an intimate session and therefore gospel lovers will be in for a rare treat.
The Boundary
In order to set the mood for an early weekend, DJ Nospa who will be celebrating his birthday, will be on the ones and twos tonight for the Thirsty Thursdays edition. Revellers will be given a breather on Friday as the venue prepares to host an All-white party that will feature South African Amapiano singer Aymos on Sunday. Supporting acts on Sunday will be DJs Wellyons, Mlungu Omnyama, Mufali, Brownie, DJ Mzoe, Henry HP, Kead Wikead and MC Mtkay Ntwana.
Umguza Yacht Club
Kids will be in for a good treat over the Easter holiday as “The Big Egg Hunt” has been organised at the club from Friday to Monday. They will be spoilt for choice as there are numerous treats that include a game whereby kids have to locate hidden goodies. Adults will also be entertained as numerous activities including horse riding, quadbikes, jumping castles, volleyball and trampoline will be available. More entertainment will be provided by Austin and Teekay who will stage live performances.
Palace Hotel
Mugove hit-maker, Leonard Zhakata is billed to perform at the venue tonight. He will be backed by the Zim Allstar band.
Cosmopolitan
Hitting the ground running, the venue will tonight host a “Thirty Thursday” after-work hangout session with resident DJs Teflon El Don, Ras Obido and Keezy AM on the decks. Tomorrow it will be ladies’ night as the venue hosts the Famous Fridays Girls night out turn up. Closing the weekend will be a party-themed SEC-RETS on Saturday.
Perfect Village (Emegalo)
A Jagermeister Easter Bunnies’ Edition with Feel Good Friday featuring Afro Queens will set the tone tomorrow. Sunday will be a family outing with Ramsey K and the Big Ray Band set to keep people entertained. DJ Phibz and DJ Nicho will close off the Easter celebrations on Monday with the Easter Monday Resurrection Party.
Yanaya Restaurant
Tomorrow, there will be a Ladies’ night out with Royal Miss Vithikazi Chichie, Mandae Mae, Fiffie Lotta and Simmz da Gee set to perform
Barbourfields Swimming Pool Site
Good Friday will this year be celebrated in style as revellers will enjoy night swimming.
