ENZO Ishall says Unity Day is very special on the Zimbabwean calendar and he will be at home resting with his family.
However, other musicians will be holding shows on Monday.
“Unity Day is a day we celebrate as a mark of unity in Zimbabwe,” said Enzo.
“We might have different tribal backgrounds and beliefs but we are one and we all form this beautiful country, Zimbabwe.
“My music educates the younger generation about our country’s history and values, embedding a sense of pride and responsibility towards our nation.”
Minister Michael Mahendere will be hosting the Overcomers Outcry 2025 at the East End Hall at the Harare Showgrounds on Unity Day.
Musicians have lined up a number of shows to celebrate Unity Day.
“As individuals, families, communities and as a nation we have faced different battles throughout the year and this event on the 22nd of December seeks to bring us all under one room, thanking God for giving us victory in our different areas.
“We will be singing new songs and songs and from previous projects,” said Minister Mahendere.
Feli Nandi and her team will be in South Africa celebrating Unity Day.
“We are celebrating Unity Day in Limpopo South Africa at the Makhadzi One Woman show.
“We are planning to deliver an epic performance there, taking Zimbabwean music to the world,” said Feli Nandi’s manager Connie Mazani.
Charles Charamba said:
“We will be doing musicals, preaching and campaigning for road safety as Traffic Safety Ambassadors.
“Our message is that unity is so precious, it must be jealously guarded.
“Our music , as well, centres on the love of God, maintenance of good morals, tolerance among citizens and enduring hardships.
“It plays a unifying role among us as Zimbabweans.”
Tendai Dembo said Unity Day is all about embracing differences and promoting respect.
