ARE you tired of the daily grind and in need of a day to unwind? Look no further than the second edition of the Big Chill happening this Monday at the Matopos Sailing Club. A variety of activities are on offer and as such scores of people are expected to attend.

The event is bigger and better this time around, thanks to partnerships between Morden Magnet Investments, 3D Events Management, Eldinero Media and beverage giant, Savanna.

“It’s getting bigger and bigger,” says organiser Mduduzi “Mdu” Mdlongwa. “We did our first one in January and we are now upping the ante.”

So, what’s on offer at the Big Chill? Plenty! Guests can enjoy boat cruises, canoeing, speed boats, quad bikes and even a children’s play centre. There will also be a braai facility for meat lovers and beverages on discount prices from Savanna.

Matopos Sailing Club is famous for bringing affordable getaways to people and they have organised tailor-made activities for all ages to ensure the whole family is catered for. And of course, there will be music from 3D’s resident DJs.

Mdlongwa said: “This is going to be a Workers’ Day with a difference . . . The holiday is meant for people to rest and unwind.” So, come out to play on Monday and enjoy a day of fun, relaxation and beautiful scenery. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, after all.”

Phillip Phiri, one of the founders and director of Modern Magnet Investments said the event will also be used to say goodbye to the school holiday.

“Schools are opening soon, this is the best way to chill before the hustle and bustle of looking for school fees and buying school books,” said Phiri.–@MbuleloMpofu
