Award-winning gospel musician and Celestial Chorus executive director Everton Mlalazi has launched the Tiri Vana VaMambo Challenge, inviting gospel music lovers to showcase their talent while celebrating one of the ensemble’s most popular songs.
The challenge encourages participants to record a 30 to 60-second video singing or lip-syncing their favourite verse from Tiri Vana VaMambo, a song from Celestial Chorus Volume 3.
To enter, participants must post their videos on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, tag Celestial Chorus and Everton Mlalazi where possible, and use the hashtag #TiriVanaVaMamboChallenge.
The participant whose video attracts the highest engagement will walk away with an exciting prize.
Mlalazi said the initiative is meant to strengthen engagement with gospel music lovers while spreading the message of Christ through music.
“Tiri Vana VaMambo carries a message that reminds believers of who they are in God. Through this challenge, we want people from all walks of life to share that message, celebrate their faith and be part of the Celestial Chorus family,” he said.
Tiri Vana VaMambo, which translates to We Are Children of the King, delivers a powerful message of hope, faith and belonging. Through its uplifting lyrics and heartfelt vocals, the song encourages believers to embrace their identity in Christ and find strength, confidence and hope in God regardless of the challenges they face.
