Award-winning gospel musician Everton Mlalazi’s recent release, worship song, Tiri Vana vaMambo, is a powerful track that reminds believers of who they are in God.

The song’s title, which translates to “we are children of the King”, carries a message of hope, faith and belonging. Through uplifting lyrics and heartfelt vocals, Mlalazi encourages listeners to focus on their spiritual identity rather than the challenges they face in everyday life.

The song reminds believers that their value comes from God and that they can find strength, hope and confidence in Him regardless of their circumstances.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Mlalazi said the message is one that people need to hear now more than ever.
“I chose this hymn because we all need to be reminded of who we are in God. No matter where we are or what we may be facing, we are children of the Almighty King. That truth gives us hope, strength and purpose.”

The release adds to Mlalazi’s growing catalogue of gospel music that continues to touch lives across Zimbabwe and beyond. While some of his previous songs focused on hope, healing and personal reflection, Tiri Vana vaMambo is a bold declaration of faith and identity.

The song’s message has already begun reaching audiences outside Zimbabwe, particularly in South Africa.
“To see leaders and influencers across South Africa embrace this message and share it with their communities has been a great blessing. This is not just a song; it is a prayer, a comfort and a hymn for every heart,” said Mlalazi.

Musically, the song blends contemporary gospel sounds with African worship influences, creating a message that is easy for both individuals and church congregations to connect with. – Follow on X @MbuleloMpofu
