Gilliet Kashangura (nee Motsi) (42), a former compliance manager with a local bank, was married to former Dynamos Football Club secretary, Mr Brian Kashangura.
She was jointly charged with her former workmate Zvichapera Nyamadzawo (40) in the case.
The pair appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Don Ndirowei who remanded them out of custody to August 6 this year on US$100 bail.
They were also ordered to report once a week at CID Frauds and not to interfere with State witnesses.
The complainant, Mr Kashangura, is the managing director of Forest Security (Pvt) Ltd.
The State says sometime in March last year, the complainant came up with the idea of forming a private company meant to provide security services to private schools and registered Brendon Security on April 7 last year.
A certificate of co-operation was subsequently issued on April 11 this year. The company comprised two shareholders; Mr Kashangura and his estranged wife Gilliet with 50 percent shares each.
The company documents were kept in Mr Kashangura’s office safe at Michael House in the City Centre.
Sometime in June last year the State says Mr Kashangura fell sick and could not attend to his office and Kashangura took over and acted in his capacity, attending to all issues which required his attention hence she was in charge of the safe. In June this year, it is alleged, Mr Kashangura received a tip-off from an anonymous caller to the effect that he had been eliminated from Brendon Security by the pair after they allegedly submitted an application to start operations.
