Ex-Soul Jah Love’s manager Courage Zikhali is under fire for failing to reimburse performance fees he got while he was still managing the affairs of the artiste. Zikhali was given US$200 as deposit for a show at Ice & Fire Pamuzinda in which Soul Jah Love was in no show.
Josh Hozheri, who is running Ice & Fire Pamuzinda, yesterday said he was taking Zikhali to the police for failing to pay back the money.
“Yes he has been sending me text messages saying he is coming with my money but now he is failing to do that and I am considering taking the issue to the police,” Hozheri said.
According to Hozheri, Soul Jah Love said he was unable to perform because he and Zikhali had parted ways. Zikhali said he was in the process of paying back all the debts to several promoters.
“I know that but we are working on the issue and I am sure he is one of the promoters who will get their money today (yesterday),” he said.
Asked if he had been playing hide and seek, Zikhali said his accountant was handling the issue.
Zikhali and the “Ndini Uya Uya” hit maker parted ways last month following accusations and counter accusations of drug abuse and witchcraft.
A source close to the issue said Zikhali was more likely to lose a lot of money as he settles previous debts accrued when he was still managing the affairs of Soul Jah Love.
