adminNYON. — Holders Sevilla must get past Borussia Mönchengladbach in the uefa Europa League round of 32 following the draw in Nyon, Switzerland, yesterday. The Spanish side have lifted the trophy three times in the last nine seasons, and in two of those campaigns overcame German opposition en route to claiming silverware. Sevilla saw off SC Freiburg in last season’s group stage, winning 2-0 home and away, and beat 1. FSV Mainz 05 and FC Schalke 04 in 2005-06.
Other highlights of yesterday’s draw include a repeat of the 1967 European Champion Clubs’ Cup final between Celtic FC and Internazionale, and some unwelcome memories of Liverpool for Besiktas.
