SOUTH Africa’s top rappers AKA and Cassper Nyovest have been advised by doctors to take it easy on the stage and studio as they are suffering from exhaustion.

The most sought-after rappers have been holding a series of shows for the past few months, touring different countries. AKA who is expected to travel to America later this month for the BET awards was admitted at the Sandton Medi Clinic for exhaustion. The soon-to-be-father, besides having a hectic music schedule has also been assisting his pregnant wife – DJ Zinhle while working on documentary — Moments In Life.

Last week Sunday, he uploaded a picture of himself lying on a hospital bed and captioned it “Exhaustion, checked in to the Sandton Medi Clinic” on social media site Instagram.

His fans quickly shared the image and wished him a speedy recovery, urging him to take time off and relax. He responded agreeing that he needed to take it easy, advising fans that his exhaustion was nothing to write home about.

“Apologies if I made the fans worry. They just put me on a drip and discharged me last night. I’m back on my feet and on the grind,” posted AKA.

The Congratulate hit-maker was discharged last Monday after spending a day in hospital.

Days later, Doc Shebeleza hit-maker Cassper Nyovest took to his Facebook page and posted that he was also suffering from exhaustion.

“Just as I thought it would happen. I’ve got a nasal and throat infection and the doctor booked me off for three days. I’ve been abusing my body. Just the thought of rest has me feeling better already,” posted Nyovest on Saturday.

“Mara the fact that I have to pay back the money is foul.”

But the artiste who went from rags to riches said he was not prepared to waste time sleeping as he was afraid of going broke.

“Doctor asked me to sleep for three days. I agreed and went home to sleep for the first night, but guess what I just did? Mxm, I’m pathetic. I really need to work a little less hard than I do but I’m so scared of being broke. I just love seeing people’s faces light up when I get on that stage and perform their favourite songs by yours truly. Love you guys. I do this for you,” wrote Nyovest.

His sick leave ends today.
