THE stage for the inaugural Matobo Gin Festival is almost set with organisers now just tying some loose ends.
The two-day festival slated for Friday and Saturday at the Sandy Spruit Dam at Matopo National Park will be held under the theme, “#GinOnTheRocks.”

Matobo Gin Festival marketing manager Ntando van Moyo said “Preparations for the inaugural Matobo Gin Festival are going on well and tickets are selling like hotcakes. Everything seems to be falling in place with artistes and caterers raring to go.

“We can’t wait for the weekend.”
Part of the musical line-up includes Djembe Monks, Qeqeshiwe, AG, Ryan Synth, Mawiza, 5iver, Deeper Mr Striper featuring Prince Bass, Brintz and Can’t get music.

Moyo said the festival will serve as a prelude to the Victoria Falls Gin Festival that is set to be held soon. The festival, the organiser said is being held to give gin lovers a great summer outdoor experience.

“Attendants will enjoy the bonfire, music, movies, fine gourmet, comedy and games. Basically, people will have a proper gin experience,” said Moyo.

With a host of organisations and companies lending a hand to this festival, attendants should expect to, “drink, laugh, eat and enjoy local entertainment during the two-day experience out in the wild.” — @eMKlass_49
