Experience thrills at ZITF, From helicopter rides, live music to culinary delights

THE Zimbabwe International Trade Fair promises to be an exciting event with something for everyone when it opens its doors to the public tomorrow.Popular stands at the fair include the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services, Econet, Zimbabwe Defence Forces, Zimbabwe Republic Police, Zimpapers, Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services pavilion, Amai’s Kitchen, Hall Four where all international exhibitors are, Delta Beverages and Hall Three where all tourism and hospitality stands are located.

Those interested in entertainment and the latest technological advancements should make sure to visit the Econet stand.As always, the country’s biggest mobile network operator is showcasing cutting-edge technology and has promised appearances by two local musicians voted for by fans. Fair goers also have a chance of interacting and winning numerous spot prizes.

Econet stand

Various entertaining activities have also been planned at the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services pavilion starting today.Its Z’khuphani stage will host a DJ explosion event showcasing talents from Zimpapers Radio, ZBC, ZiFM Stereo and Skyz Metro FM today and tomorrow.
Zimpapers Radio will be represented by Ndumiso Dube, popularly known as The Skywalker, while ZiFM Stereo’s line-up includes Etherton Beenie and the Dancehall Massacre. ZBC will field DJ Chilli, Kanyemba Bhonzo, Lionel Mnkandla and Thabani Gambiza. Representing Skyz Metro FM will be Bkay, Taboka Nleya, DJ Passee, Asante Mo and Mawiza.

Star FM stand

Star FM at the Zimpapers stand is another key attraction offering a variety of activities, including competitions, entertainment and opportunities to win prizes.Lucky fans will even get the chance to take photos with well-known radio personalities like The Skywalker and Babongile Sikhonjwa and potentially have their voices featured on radio during live broadcasts.

ZTA stand

The ZDF stand is a must-visit this year as visitors will have the unique opportunity to experience a helicopter ride. The Air Force of Zimbabwe also offers a feel of one of their fighter jets.Additionally, those interested will have the opportunity to learn about firearms and military machinery at the stand.
The ZPCS stand has an exceptional display of parade moves, where its band showcases amazing dance moves and music. For matters concerning law and order enforcement, the ZRP stand will be at your service.

Food enthusiasts should not miss out on visiting Amai’s Kitchen, a prime spot for healthy culinary delights that also showcases Zimbabwe’s rich culture and heritage.Amai’s Kitchen also features a vibrant display of traditional music, ensuring there’s never a dull moment. This lively culinary hub, which highlights the cultural richness of Zimbabwe, is the brainchild of the First Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa.

Another key highlight at the fair is the Delta Corporation stand, which is showcasing new brands from African Distillers Limited, now a subsidiary of Delta Corporation, as well as its new Chibuku flavours.
For those looking for travel inspiration, Hall Three is the place to be, as it houses key tourism operators, key among them, the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority.

In addition to the stands mentioned above, there are also other attractions for those interested in farming, tourism and hospitality. Additionally, visitors can make an appointment to see the snake exhibit at the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife stand.
