This Sunday, the Bulawayo Theatre will host 13 finalists vying for the Face of Bulawayo 2025 crown.
The pageant combines beauty, culture and empowerment, with a strong message of hope in the fight against breast cancer.

Held under the theme “Taking Stride Against Breast Cancer”, this year’s event is more than a showcase of glamour. It is a call to action, using the platform of pageantry to educate communities about the risks, symptoms and importance of early detection.

The event will be hosted by dynamic duo NessaNobbs and Muziwethu Sigidi, who have promised a night filled with edu-tainment, red-carpet glamour and electrifying performances. Adding to the night’s appeal will be a vibrant entertainment line-up featuring performances from Msiz’kay, KhweziZW, Butholezwe, Lynden, MaNike, Umfanomsuthu, DJ Nero and DJ Dosto.

Final preparations are underway, with organisers promising an unforgettable night that celebrates not just beauty, but purpose.

“Preparations are underway, and we promise an unforgettable night of glamour, elegance and empowerment. The event will see the crowning of the Queen, 1st and 2nd Princesses, and the People’s Choice Award winner.

“We’re grateful to our sponsors who are working hard to make this event possible,” said organiser, Mthokozisi “Mzee” ka Sigola.

Mzee said the event aims to educate both contestants and audiences on prevention and early diagnosis, eliminate stigma and highlight the often-overlooked reality that breast cancer affects men too.

The pageant also seeks to encourage community engagement, support awareness campaigns, and foster a culture of openness when it comes to discussing health issues. —@MbuleloMpofu
