Faith does move mountains

The darkest hour is before dawn, and that is when most young people give up on their goals, aspirations or desires when things do not appear to be going according to plan.
It is pointless for one to suddenly give up on a dream, vision or project there have been tirelessly working on when things take a sudden turn for the worst.

In pursuing dreams we face a lot of obstacles and mountains we must climb, and giving up is not an option.
Roy Muroyi (21) said when one is going through a rough patch there should have faith that things will turn up for the better.

“When I had my back against the wall and my future looked bleak as everything I planned seemed to fail and amount to nothing, I told myself I had what it takes to overcome the challenges I was facing.

“I held on and pursued my dream of being an entrepreneur although I was facing severe financial constraints until the good strategies I was implementing yielded results,” he said.

Muroyi reiterated that only a person of faith can move a mountain and winners and achievers fight for what they want no matter what difficult challenges they face.

Sometimes all that one needs to achieve is a leap of faith complemented by good works.
A positive attitude that says “Yes I am an achiever” although I may have fallen in hard times I will overcome this obstacle.

Tapiwa Makhosa (21) said when things do not go according to plan one must find an alternative in order to achieve the desired objective.
“When things go wrong, I assess the situation looking at mistakes and try not to repeat them.

“I learnt to trust in God in everything.
“I do not ask myself why bad things happen to me instead I ask myself how best I can solve the problem before me,” he said.
Faith is when one says, yes I can when the situation or environment is saying the direct opposite.

Sometimes one may feel like this is too much to bear or they can no longer go on.
Young people should understand that making a blunder or mistake is not the end of the world or career.

The truth of the matter is that a challenge is something that can either make or break you depending on your attitude.
Lord Malvern High A-Level student Tonderai Taruvinga said when going through a difficult situation one should exercise faith with works to overcome frustrations of failure.

“I believe when one knows exactly what they want to achieve, one should not be discouraged by negative forces or situations.
“When things are not going well for me I always draw inspiration from within by telling myself I am a winner and I will achieve my goal,” he said.

Adversity and hardships one face are not meant to destroy you, but to build one’s character.
Mistakes and blunders one makes should be a learning platform not to repeat the same errors when pursuing other goals or aspirations.
