Family appeals for help after relatives go missing

Sunday News Reporter

A Harare family has requested for the public’s assistance in locating their relatives who reportedly went missing under unclear circumstances.

The Sigauke family has revealed that Kudakwashe Sigauke, a data engineer/analyst in Radio Frequency Technology has been missing together with his wife, Angel Humanikwa, a South African nation and their two children have been missing for the last couple of weeks, with their mobile phones also not going through.

Angel Humanikwa

Kudakwashe was previously employed by Huawei where they would run a number of contracts with the government owned mobile network, Net One before he reportedly resigned in a huff and was said to be working for the ruling Zanu-PF.

“Kudakwashe informed us that his uncle, a senior army official Lieutenant General David Sigauke influenced his decision to leave Huawei although he did not give us much detail into circumstances leading to that although he clearly stated that he was not happy with the decision.

“He then started working odd hours and would even go for a long period without going back home. Things however turned for the worst, when Angel was suddenly arrested for about three days for an unknown crime, she was only released after Kudakwashe said he had known who and what was behind the arrest. After Angel was released, things changed, the family was somehow always miserable,” said the family source who declined to be named.

The couple’s two children

“It was after these events that suddenly the family disappeared. We are not sure what happened to them they just up and left, leaving behind their house and all their property. As a family we are worried, these are our children and worse our daughter-in-law is a foreigner together our grandchildren, who are also South African by documentation, we pray for anyone with the information of their whereabouts to assist us,” added the relative.

The relative revealed that while they have tried getting assistance from the police, this has yielded no results as the police reportedly claimed that there was no substantial proof that they had gone missing.

Efforts to get a comment from the police were however fruitless as they claimed they had not received any report on the missing family.
