Family in Distress: Concerns Over Safety of Miriam Moabi

Sunday News Reporter

A Luveve family finds themselves in a state of distress as they express deep concerns for the safety and well-being of their daughter, Miriam Moabi.

Miriam was married to Samuel Collins Moabi, a South African national who tragically passed away in June last year. The couple resided in Braamfischerville, Ntabamhlophe, South Africa, where they had built a life together.

According to a close relative, who wishes to remain anonymous, trouble began brewing for Miriam shortly after her husband’s untimely demise.

“While Samuel was alive, they were a happy couple and even invested in numerous properties across South Africa,” the relative disclosed.

However, the situation took a turn for the worse when Miriam reached out to her family in Zimbabwe, seeking their support and guidance.

Miriam’s distressing phone call revealed that Samuel’s family had initiated a fight over the couple’s jointly-owned properties.

The properties, registered in both Miriam and Samuel’s names, became a subject of contention as Samuel’s family claimed that Miriam had no rightful claim to them.

They insisted that she transfer the ownership of the properties to them, despite the legal arrangement.

The relative sadly shared that the phone call from Miriam was the last contact they had with her.

The sudden silence left the family in a state of worry and uncertainty, with no knowledge of Miriam’s whereabouts or her current condition.

To their astonishment, Samuel’s relatives unexpectedly arrived from South Africa at the family home in Luveve, demanding answers regarding Miriam’s whereabouts.

“They demanded we reveal Miriam’s whereabouts, saying they wont rest until they find her as they wanted what they said was their property,” said the relative.

“The Maobi family further claimed they had links in Zimbabwe and would keep the family under surveillance if ever Miriam pitches up,” added the relative

The local community has rallied behind the family, expressing their support and urging authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly. As the case unfolds, the family remains hopeful for Miriam’s safe return and a resolution to the property dispute that has left their lives in turmoil.

Efforts to reach Samuel’s family for comment have so far been unsuccessful. The situation continues to develop, leaving the fate of Miriam Moabi shrouded in uncertainty.
