AGRICULTURAL expert Mr Ivan Craig has urged farmers to increase productivity, improve yields and treat farming as a business.
Mr Craig was speaking at the grand draw of Landrix Trading’s Kohwa Pakuru Promotion on Sunday in Karoi.
He also encouraged farmers to use genuine agricultural inputs sourced from reputable suppliers.
Landrix Group general manager Mr Isaac Muranganwa said the company’s growth was closely linked to the success of farmers.
He said the company remained committed to supporting farmers and contributing to the growth of the agricultural sector.
“Agriculture is at the heart of our economy. If we get agriculture right, we are able to get many other things right. Landrix is proud to contribute to that journey as Zimbabwe works towards Vision 2030,” he said.
Ms Eni Ali emerged as the top winner in the promotion, which ran from March to August and rewarded farmers for purchasing qualifying agricultural inputs.
She walked away with a motorbike. The event also marked the launch of the next edition of the Kohwa Pakuru Promotion, giving farmers another opportunity to win prizes.
