Farvic FC in must-win encounter

Descent Dube, Sports Reporter
ZIFA Matabeleland South Division Two pacesetter, Farvic FC, will be looking to keep their title hopes alive with a win against Horn Mine tomorrow to maintain their pole position and strengthen their resolve for a promotion to Division One.

Farvic’s last outing saw them winning 1-0 against West Nicholson while their next opponents were hammered by Gwanda Delete 0-6.

Farvic, based about 20km south of Gwanda along Beitbridge road, will travel to Magwe to face Horn Mine who are bottom of the table on eight points at Freda. Horn Mine have won one match this season, scoring a mere seven goals and conceding an incredible 19.

Recording a win against a free scoring Farvic who have scored 23 goals and conceded eight will be a big ask for the Magwe outfit.

Second-place Maphisa based side, The Venue, will have to wait for another week as they are not playing this weekend; having lost their last match 0-3 to fourth place Filabusi .

The Venue’s loss was the second of the season and left them on 24 points, three behind Farvic.

Tomorrow:- West Nich vs Gwanda Delete at West 3PM, Horn Mine vs Farvic at Freda 3PM, Red Swallows vs Jessie at Switsha 3PM, Boys Academy vs Vumba at Gwanda High 3PM. — @DecoDecent2
