LOCAL fashion couple Cleedon Lotriet and Chantal Fraser will on Saturday hold their first ever fashion extravaganza, in a bid to launch their brand — House of W.A.L.
The extravaganza will also seek to promote local brands, as well as to showcase couture from other designers.
Dubbed House of W.A.L Ultimate Fashion Production the show will be held at Treger House from 6pm. Lotriet, who is no stranger to the fashion industry, will be showcasing designs from his label — Clix, which has been in existence for the past 16 years, while his better half Chantal, who runs Shante Clothing seeks to promote her label.
They told Sunday Life that this was just a tip of the iceberg and they have a lot more in store, as far as couture was concerned.
“We want to turn the industry around. We will be showcasing designs that cater for all, be it young and old, slim and curvy.
There will be other established, as well as up-and-coming designers showcasing their stuff as well.
“The show is basically meant to promote our local designers and brands,” said the couple.
Clix and Shante noted that there would be lots of entertainment from local artistes such as Rakeem and Skaiva, dance group Salt and Light, T1nda, Donna N, songstress Pearl Granger and a special guest appearance by renowned DJ Otis “Da Flow” Fraser.
“We have labels such as NiKi J, Just Vintage, Nguni Bags and Prince Accessories to mention but a few showcasing their eccentric collection of bags and accessories,” added the couple.
